Behind the Creator

          Some say art imitates life, and that couldn’t be more accurate than the story of little redhead Aria and her author, Kyra. Kyra was born in Virginia, and moved to a different school every year up until sixth grade. She then settled in Carmel, California, during her middle school and high school years before moving to Los Angeles to study dance and film at UCLA. This constant change from a young age had a large impact on Kyra’s character, morals, values, personal strength, and ties to her family—all which led to the birth of Aria’s story.

 

          Her biggest hope is that her readers strive to find their inner Aria and always seek, cherish, and prioritize the greatness in who they are before what they do. When you are able to bring your best self forward, you are able to help others and your community to your fullest. Kyra hopes that through finding our best selves and realizing our true passions, we can create a better community and a stronger world.
